Angelina Stars In Flood Apeal
We all know Angelina Jolie as the glamorous star on our movie screen but the other side of her which we all may not know about is that she is a UNHCR goodwill ambassador who has visited Pakistan 4 times since the tragic floods hit.
The UN has made an apeal for flood victims and so far has raised about two-thirds of $459m (£298m) which was asked for in August. Another apeal was made yesterday and the UN has said that it needs $120m (£78m) for tents and other supplies.
Re-building has started but floodwaters continue to threaten the towns of Johi and Dadu in Sindh province which means the progress is slow and teadius.
Last week Ange released a video appealing for more donations on behalf of nearly 21 million people who have been affected by this tragic state of events
She has visited communities where long-term Afghan refugees reside and has described the scene as 'extremely complex to solve'
Being award winning movie star has it's perks, money being the main one. I know that the world likes to see 'stars' looking their best in thousands of dollars worth of diamonds and pearls but what I love to see is when these so called 'stars' remind us that deep down they really do care.
It's nice to see people like Angelina putting their fame to good use and she has personally donated $100,000 to the flood appeal.
Angelina is definately, by my books, a fantastic example moral values.

Beached-Babes
More than 50 whales died today after being washed up on a secluded beach in New Zealand. Volunteers made an attempt to re-float 15 of them but sadly it failed. Shockingly New Zealand frequently sees masses of whales being beached every year but scientists are still at a loss as to why this is happening. On Saturday morning another rescue attempt will be made with heavy machinery for the remainding survivers but a chief executive of Project Jonah , a marine mammal aid organisation, says that the whales are in pretty bad shape.
Project Jonah is active now and is currently out in New Zealand battling to save these whales lives and this is something they do every year. Since this problem is on-going and Project Jonah, a registered charity made up of volunteers, is trying to do so much with so little i really feel this charity needs a spokes person.
To all you famous faces, Project Jonah and their work needs promoting.
To all you in the public, just follow the link above to their website to find out what you can do to help.

Emma Wats-on-next ?
Childhood star and a familiar face in our living rooms', Emma Watson has been somwhat of an icon all here life. She went from flying the flag for whitty interlectuals' in her role of Hermoine Granger in the Harry Potter movies to raising awareness for fair-trade clothing and launching herself as somwhat of a fashionista off-camera. Emma Watson is a great exaple of why fame isn't just the be-all-and-end-all of somebodys life and has gone on to study liberal arts at Brown, USA. Emma is a very good influence to have in the media and has opted to use her fame productively. If your not going to take a leaf out of her aim-high-book or her make-a-difference-book then i would definitely take one out of her style book, you could maybe even take a tree because this girl can't go wrong!
